Kate Anderson

Kate is an artist and designer for theatre, based in Pōneke, Aotearoa.

After studying theatre at Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington, Kate began designing for theatre in 2018. Since then, she has worked as set designer lighting designer, performer, technical operator, stage manager, and various other roles across the theatre industry.

In 2024, Kate was nominated for the Backstage Production Award at the Wellington Theatre Awards.

Kate approaches each production with a sharp eye for design, bold colour choices, and a love of visual storytelling.
